** God put His Cross where His Mouth Was - all along! ** Today's Bible Promise is ... "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of [his] government and peace [there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this." Isa 9:6-7

The fruit of the Spirit is joy.

J OY in the Holy Ghost.--Unspeakable and full of glory.

Sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing . . . exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.--We glory in tribulations.

Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; . . . for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.--As the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.--The joy of the LORD is your strength.

In thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.--For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Jehovah-shalom [The LORD send peace].

B EHOLD, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.

Behold, a greater than Solomon is here.--Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.--My people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places; when it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.

He is our peace.--This man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land.

These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you.

Lord, as much as some insects 'bug' me - I would still like to thank You for all the lil critters!

This world would not be the same - indeed, COULD not - without them. And some of them are utterly fascinating!

So thanks, Lord - for the bugs!

Occasionally, nature outdoes itself - and displays tangible proof of the Magnificence with which it was Created. Some real things are more real than others - and then there are some that are literally surreal! The colors of sand span the rainbow, as the dunes contour the landscape - like the masterpiece of a renowned sculptor.

But there is our reality - and then there is God's Reality. Our reality - at best, with God - is honesty BEFORE God. God's reality is Truth. Because we are mortal, temporal and finite, our reality is tenuous - other-than that which we Share with God in-Christ. But God Inhabits eternity. His reality must Remain as True millions of Eons later as it is Now. Even the dimension of time (past, present, future) has no Real Relevance in Eternity.

But God Created time. And Physics. And all that passes away. Seasons are His Invention - just as Signs and Wonders were. we marvel at His Mysteries - yet He Considers man!

God's Word Is Alive - Living - True - Eternal, just as He Is. And with His Breath-Word-Will, He Creates, Inspires and Quickens Life in us. And we Marvel and Wonder and Fear.

Thank God He Is GOOD! When we think of so many of the man-made 'gods' of heathens - we are reminded just how ghastly, ghoulish, vicious and vengeful man's imagination can conjure! At one point, the depravity of man's religions (burning their own children to their idols!) impressed even God. "This thing never entered My Mind!"

When we see HOW Good God Really Is - and then we remember how He has SHOWN us His Love for us - and WHAT A LOVE! - we are humiliated in the dust!

Thank You Lord, for Your Goodness and Truth and Eternal-Reality!

An awe-full mystery is here
To challenge faith and waken fear:
The Savior comes as food divine,
Concealed in earthly bread and wine.

This world is loveless—but above
What wondrous boundlessness of love!
The King of Glory stoops to me
My spirit’s life and strength to be.

In consecrated wine and bread
No eye perceives the mystery dread;
But Jesus’ words are strong and clear;
“My body and My blood are here.”

How dull are all the powers of sense
Employed on proofs of love immense!
The richest food remains unseen,
And highest gifts appear—how mean!

But here we have no boon on earth,
And faith alone discerns its worth.
The Word, not sense, must be our guide,
And faith assure since sight’s denied.

Lord, show us still that Thou art good
And grant us evermore this food.
Give faith to every wavering soul
And make each wounded spirit whole.

Getting real (honest) with God, God gets Real back!
(God's Reality is Truth)

by Spurgeon

"He sends forth his commandment upon earth:
His word runs very swiftly" (Psalm 147:15).

No language ever stirs the deeps of my nature like the Word of
God, and none produces such a profound calm within my spirit.

As no other voice can,
it melts me to tears,
it humbles me in the dust,
it fires me with enthusiasm,
it fills me with pleasure,
it elevates me to holiness.

Every faculty of my being owns the power of the sacred Word.

It sweetens my memory,
it brightens my hope,
it stimulates my imagination,
it directs my judgment,
it commands my will, and
it cheers my heart.

The word of man charms me for the time,
but I outlive and outgrow its power.

It is altogether the reverse with the Word of the King of kings;
it rules me more sovereignly, more practically, more habitually,
more completely every day. Its power is for all seasons--for
sickness and for health, for solitude and for company, for
personal emergencies and for public assemblies.

I had sooner have the Word of God at my back than all the
armies and navies of all the great powers, aye, than all the
forces of nature; for the Word of the Lord is the source of
all the power in the universe, and within it there is an infinite
supply in reserve.

Pr 11:6
"The righteousness of the upright will deliver them,
But the unfaithful (treacherous) will be caught by their lust."

Sleep sweetly in this quiet room, O thou whoe'er thou art,
And let no mournful yesterdays disturb thy peaceful heart.

Nor let tomorrow scare thy rest with thoughts of coming ill.
Thy Maker is thy changeless friend; His love surrounds thee still.

Forget thyself and all the world, put out each feverish light;
The stars are watching overhead, sleep sweetly then, goodnight.

NOTABLE QUOTES (Various Authors)

"The most learned, acute, and diligent student cannot, in the longest life, obtain an entire knowledge of this one Volume. The more deeply he works the Mine, the richer and more abundant he finds the Ore!;

new Light continually beams from this Source of Heavenly knowledge, to direct the conduct, and illustrate the work of God and the ways of men; and he will at last leave the Work confessing, that the more he studied the Scriptures, the fuller conviction he has of his own ignorance, and of their inestimable value!"
