FOTO TOTO?

L - O - V - E - ! ! !

My, how that word does get around! Is there any in the English language more abused, do you think? (I LUV yer hairdooo! - I simply LUV yer new garbage can!!!) Sheesh!

And yet, the Bible is full of that Word. Same Word, do you think?

What does GOD mean when He says, 'Love'?

When God said 'I Love you' to mankind, He meant the most Bloody Sacrifice, and the most horrific Suffering man has ever witnessed! (We can hardly imagine what it must have been like for The Selfless, Sinless, Innocent Lamb of God to Surrender to Satan and Yield up His Soul - even on that Damned Cross!)

If Love (Agape) is the Lens through which God Communicates (Discerns) His Creation - if this is an apt notion - then the photo above is precise. As the Lense of Love Views The Word of God it is Transfigured. Just as when we View and Fix our Gaze on Christ, it is BY this Beholding we are Changed - and God's Living, Written Word-Will comes ALIVE in us!

Love is gutzy! Love is brutal! Love is Ruthless (about It's Beloved).

Jesus Warns that MANY in these last daZe are losing their Love (agape). How? Why? Because of worldly cares and the propagation of iniquity (rebellions) by which this Age and Generation will be destroyed!

To Love God is to OBEY Him - and to be Corrected BY Him.

Next time we say, "I Love You!' to God - let's remember what that MEANS to God!

DAILY HYMN (LYRICS & MUSIC)

I AM A STRANGER HERE, WITHIN A FOREIGN LAND
(aka, 'THE KING'S BUSINESS')

I am a stranger here, within a foreign land;
My home is far away, upon a golden strand;
Ambassador to be of realms beyond the sea,
I’m here on business for my King.

Refrain

This is the message that I bring,
A message angels fain would sing:
“Oh, be ye reconciled,”
Thus saith my Lord and King,
“Oh, be ye reconciled to God.”

This is the King’s command: that all men, everywhere,
Repent and turn away from sin’s seductive snare;
That all who will obey, with Him shall reign for aye,
And that’s my business for my King.

Refrain

My home is brighter far than Sharon’s rosy plain,
Eternal life and joy throughout its vast domain;
My Sovereign bids me tell how mortals there may dwell,
And that’s my business for my King.

Refrain

'THE BELIEVER'S RULE OF LIFE'

(J. C. Philpot, "The Precepts of the Word of God")

Were there no precepts in the New Testament, we
would be without an inspired rule of life, without an
authoritative guide for our walk and conduct before the
Church and the world. We rightly discard and reject
the 'law of Moses' as the believer's rule of life.

What, then, is our rule? Are we a set of lawless wretches
who may live as we desire, according to the libelous charge
of the enemies of truth? God forbid! We have a divine,
authoritative rule of life, a code of directions of the amplest,
fullest, minutest character, intended and sufficient to regulate
and control every thought, word, and action of our lives; and
all flowing from the eternal wisdom and will of the Father,
sealed and ratified by the blood of the Son, and inspired
and revealed by the Holy Spirit.

When, then, it is thrown in our teeth that, by discarding the
'law of Moses' as our rule of life, we prove ourselves licentious,
lawless Antinomians; this is our answer, and let God and His
word decide whether it be not a sufficient one. We have a rule
of life as far exceeding the 'law of Moses' as the new covenant
of grace and truth--exceeds and outshines the old covenant of
works; and as much as the ministration of the Spirit, of life,
and of righteousness--excels in glory the ministration of the
letter, of death, and of condemnation. (2 Corinthians 3:6-11)

The gospel, not the Mosaic law, is the believer's rule of life.

In a word, the precepts of the New Testament, in all their
fullness, minuteness, and comprehensiveness, are
the
believer's rule of life.

DAILY POEM

'A PILGRIM'S PRAYER'

"To grow a little wiser day by day -

To keep my inner life both clean and strong -
To free my life from guile, my heart from wrong -

To shut the door on hate and scorn and pride -

To open up to love the window wide -

To meet with cheerful heart what comes to me -
To turn life's discords into harmony -

To share some weary worker's heavy load -

To point some straying comrad to the Road -

To know that what I have is not my own -
To feel that I am never quite alone -

This would I pray from day to day -

For then I know my life would flow -
In peace until it be God's will I go."
