DAILY BIBLE PROMISE

** God put His Cross where His Mouth Was - all along! ** Today's Bible Promise is ... "I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him." Hos 14:4

DAILY THANKSGIVING

FREE WILL:

Lord, it has been said that THE Crown of Your Adamic Creation was Volition, or Choice - that this was the Dominion lost when Adam fell.

I understand that in Jesus Christ we have that Free Will Restored by Your Obedience, just as it was lost by Adam's rebellion.

I thank you for breaking the Liberty bondage of no Choice because of sin - so that we may Now Choose God in You!

FOTO TOTO?

SLURRRP!!

Nothing beats the treat for a hot dog on a scorching pavement like a refreshing, drenching gulp of cool running water! Man - it just doesn't get much better than this!

But there is a curious thing that has occurred only recently - folks that say they love, obey and belong to Jesus Christ - but have absolutely no appetite for His Righteousness, and no genuine thirst for the Word of Life!

Can any organism truly live without some form of appetite? Is this even possible?

When a soul is Born Again and becomes a whole New Creature in Jesus Christ - that brand-spanking New Babe is Hungry! And the more it Eats the Spiritual Food set before it in The Word of Life (Bible) the more Thirsty it becomes for Truth, Honesty, Sincerity, Humility and all the other Divine Aspects which we See best in The Person of God - Jesus Christ.

This is as Natural for that New, Spiritual Nature as getting hungry and thirsty for physical food and drink is for the carnal man. I mean - how long can your body go without eating or drinking - without it reminding you?

In Jesus Christ, God has Rung The Dinner Bell - "COME AND DINE!". Who will Hear - who will Come as Called?

DAILY HYMN (LYRICS & MUSIC)

Savior, teach me day by day
Love’s sweet lesson to obey,
Sweeter lesson cannot be,
Loving Him Who first loved me.

With a child’s glad heart of love
At Thy bidding may I move,
Prompt to serve and follow Thee,
Loving Him Who first loved me.

Teach me thus Thy steps to trace,
Strong to follow in Thy grace,
Learning how to love from Thee,
Loving Him Who first loved me.

Love in loving finds employ,
In obedience all her joy;
Ever new that joy will be,
Loving Him Who first loved me.

Thus may I rejoice to show
That I feel the love I owe;
Singing, till Thy face I see,
Of His love Who first loved me.

CHRISTIAN STUDY RESOURCES

'As your Biblical knowledge widens'

(John Angell James, "Christian Progress" 1853)

There are many who regard an increasing acquaintance
with the text of the Bible, as an evidence of growth in
grace.

Ask yourselves the solemn question. In proportion as
you store your minds with biblical texts and biblical
ideas--are you all the while seeking to have your
heart filled with biblical feelings, and your life with
biblical actions?

As you grow in acquaintance with the character of God--
do you reverence Him more? As your ideas brighten on the
person of Christ--do you love Him more? As you become
more acquainted with the perfection and spirituality of
God's Word--do you delight in it more? As you see more
clearly the evil of sin--do you hate it with a more intense
hatred?

As your Biblical knowledge widens, do you become . . .
more profoundly humble,
more tenderly conscientious,
more gentle,
more spiritual?

Unless this is the case, you are in a fatal mistake by
supposing that you are making progress in the divine
life, merely because you are advancing in biblical
knowledge.

DAILY POEM

"For every hill I've had to climb, for every stone that bruised my feet, for all the blood and sweat and grime, for blinding storms and burning heat, my heart sings but a grateful song -- These were the things that made me strong!

"For all the heartaches and the tears, for all the anguish and the pain, for gloomy days and fruitless years, and for the hopes that lived in vain, I do give thanks, for now I know -- These were the things that helped me grow!"

DAILY PERSONAL PROVERB (--Dennis Rideout)

'Once-saved-ALWAYS-saved' - may prove to be - 'saved-for-snakes'! (see Num21:6,7)

NOTABLE QUOTES (Various Authors)

"When God Says, 'I will honor you with My Presence ...', unfortunately, the uncircumcised heart hears, 'Presents' (not 'Presence'), and gets grabby!"

Any discussion of God's Gifts out of the context of His FRUIT (Holiness) - is un-Holy! All Godly gifts are TESTED by their FRUIT (God is never mocked!)
